What Does It Mean to Be on Our Waitlist?

Our properties continue to be extremely popular for housing options in the state of Maine. Because of this, we constantly receive applications for these properties from tenants who are ready to move now, those looking to move in the near future and from those in preparation for moving a year from now. We are always accepting applications for our waitlist, however, simply because you apply does not mean you will reach the top of the waitlist by a certain time nor are you guaranteed to be approved for a unit. Tenants are not limited to a one-year lease, their residence at the property can range from one year to twenty years. Some tenants choose to stay put, while other decide they want to move; both of these factors determine whether or not your place on the waitlist makes its way to the top of the list. Moving up in the waitlist is determined by the amount of traffic there is at the property. If tenants move out often, then your name will move up in the waitlist quickly. If there is not a lot of movement in the property, your place on the waitlist will not change frequently. Due to this, we are unable to determine when your application will be at the top of the waitlist. However, when your application has reached the top on the waitlist and a unit is available, we will contact you to see if you are still interested in moving into the unit. We then go through our regular application process, which includes: a background check, a credit check, and employment verification.
