Jeff Martin, President

Jeff grew up in Maine and graduated from Yarmouth High School. He attended the University of Southern Maine for his undergraduate degree, and also played hockey for the university from 1991-1994. Each season he played for the team, he won the William B. Wise scholar athlete award. He graduated from USM Magma Cum Laude with a BA in Economics. In 1996, Jeff earned his CPA and worked for Berry, Dunn, McNeil and Parker prior to purchasing Coastal Management in 2000. In 2005, he purchased Turner Barker Management and formed Foreside Real Estate Management into the company it is today. Jeff provides hands on, knowledgeable service to our clients, working as a condominium property manager as well as overseeing all aspects of the company. He is able to meet the needs of his properties Board of Directors and owners as well as help his staff do the same for theirs. Though he works hard to provide the best business to his clients, when he has a chance to take some time off, you can find him skiing on the slopes in the winter, enjoying a sunny day on his boat or out on the golf course. jeff@foresidemanagement.com

Elizabeth Flaherty, Condominium Property Manager

Elizabeth is a Maine native who grew up in South Portland, then chose to travel south for college. She attended Charleston Southern University and earned a degree in Political Science. After graduation, Elizabeth moved to work in New York City for a year before returning to Charleston to work in marketing. Ultimately Maine became her permanent home, to be close to friends and family, and she joined the team here at Foreside to become an Assistant Property Manager as the company began to grow. Elizabeth was quickly promoted to a Condominium Property Manager and now manages 17 properties for the company. Mark Marquis, Condominium Property Manager

Mark Marquis was born and raised in Northern Maine, eventually moving to Connecticut in 1981 to obtain his degree in Nuclear Medicine and Management at Quinnipiac University, with his management practicum obtained through Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. In 1989, Mark went to work with a mobile diagnostic imaging company in North Andover, MA, quickly moving up to manager of Nuclear Medicine Services providing services throughout New England. While living in Haverhill, MA, Mark owned a condominium for 3 years, part of a 120-unit complex and was an active participant in its Association. He then moved to Arizona where his career would shift into a different direction, immersing him into a Home Owners Association of over 175 homes in Chandler, Arizona. Mark then decided to spend half of his time in Maine and became a board member of a condominium association; he was a secretary, vice president then president over a span of nine years. In these positions, Mark worked with the developer in educating homeowners about planned community living, and effecting necessary changes to become a complete homeowner established, self-sufficient Association. Mark then discovered his interest in the Property Management industry and is excited to further his career here at Foreside! mark@foresidemanagement.com

Karen Burrell, Condominium Property Manager

Karen is a native Mainer, who was fortunate to have grown up, traveling the world, in an Air Force family and returned to Maine to attend high school (Hampden Academy) and college (University of New England) here. Karen joins Foreside with a wealth of management experience, ranging from finance to construction, but is at her best when juggling multiple projects. Having recently returned to work, after caring for her terminally ill mother, Karen is eager to use her organizational skills and dive into multiple projects and to develop long-lasting positive relationships with the owners/residents and especially with the boards she serves. Karen has raised 4 remarkable young adults and nothing is more important to her than her family. Karen enjoys being out on the water, whether it's Sebago Lake or Casco Bay. Her hobbies are reading; interior decorating; entertaining and being creative. In her spare time, Karen hosts and leads several book groups; craft groups; ladies and couples adventure groups and loves to entertain and host family & friends for dinner parties and events. karen@foresidemanagement.com

Shayle Wormel, Assistant Property Manager

Shayle grew up in South Berwick, a southern Maine town on the border of New Hampshire.  She attended Marshwood High School and went on to pursue a degree in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Maine in Orono.  She currently resides in Limington and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, skiing, golfing and cheering on all New England sports teams, especially the Patriots.  Shayle assists the Condominium Property Managers with all condominium units that Foreside manages (over 1000).  On a daily basis she is tasked with answering and returning calls, putting together mailings, gathering and sending documents requested for closings, obtaining contracts and proposals along with many other things.  You may see Shayle around at your Condominium Property from time to time meeting with contractors, if you do please make sure you say hi to her. shayle@foresidemanagement.com

Mary Young, Director of Housing

Mary is a graduate of University of Maine: Augusta and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Science of Financial Services. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Thomas College. She worked with Maine Housing for a total of 6 years, beginning as a program analyst, then becoming a financial officer working with project based section 8 contracts, housing assistant payments and more. Her knowledge is an asset to the housing team here at Foreside.  Mary has previously served as a selectperson for the small town she lives in and enjoys spending time with her family. mary@foresidemanagement.com

Shanna Westleigh, Housing Property Manager

Esther Johnson, Office Administrative Assistant

If you ever stop by our office, chances are the first person you will see is Esther.  Esther works the front desk and is responsible for receiving all incoming calls and payments.  In addition to her receptionist duties, Esther also provides general office support to all Foreside employees. esther@foresidemanagement.com

Naomi Gardner, Accounting Manager

Naomi is the Accounting Manager and has been with Foreside for 16 years.  She oversees Association and Apartment banking, bill payments, cash receipts and financial reporting.  It is her goal to work with the Owners and the Property Manager to effectively manage all financial issues for our clients.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine.  She lives in Gardiner and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children when she is not at work. naomi@foresidemanagement.com

Arthur Waller, Accounting

Over in accounting, Art takes care of processing rent payments as well as condo dues on a daily basis to keep our system up to date and making sure tenants have paid rent on time. He also processes financial statements and enters all the bills received. arthur@foresidemanagement.com
